January: College Baseball; From the crack of the bat to the slide on into home, NCAA baseball packs a wallop of home run frenzy for what's oft called America's favorite pastime. February: Big Cypress Shootout; Over the last weekend in February, the Second Seminole War (1835-1842) between American soldiers and Seminole warriors is reenacted in a festival featuring alligator wrestling, archery, hatchet and atlatl throwing, snake handling, storytelling and dancing, craft and Native food vendors, live music and lots of fun for the whole family. December: Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade; Over the first weekend in December, the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) hosts the official kickoff of the Palm Beaches holiday season, an annual parade of over 50 boats decorated for the season, with a spectacular fireworks on the water.
